Hull City manager Steve Bruce has been speaking about Yannick Sagbo after the striker began his three-month loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The forward did not hit the heights for the Tigers last season despite arriving in the Premier League with a reputation as a fine goal-scorer, but Bruce believes the move will be good for his player

In an interview with the Express and Star, the Hull boss said, “He needs games and with us going out of the Capital One Cup and the Europa League we were not going to be able to give them to him at present.

“I’m sure he will do an excellent job in the Championship.”

Sagbo scored 30 goals for FC Evian but managed only four for Hull last season and will be hoping to fire Wolves back into the top flight after their fine start to the current campaign.

In other news, Nikica Jelavic has been named Hull’s 12Bet Player of the Month for September.

Jelavic is striking up an impressive partnership with summer signing Abel Hernandez and his hard work and fine goal against Newcastle United have seen him win the prize as announced on the club’s official website.
