Chelsea fans react on Twitter to Hazard performance against Sporting - 'Giving his best!'

Eden Hazard Dribbling

Eden Hazard would have hoped to have a bigger impact for Chelsea in their win against Sporting Lisbon last night.

Eden Hazard laughed off fresh speculation linking him with Paris Saint-Germain earlier this week as he focuses on adding medals to his collection at Chelsea.

The Belgian was the side’s standout player last season, but he’s struggled to replicate the form he showed in the last campaign in the current one and is under pressure to build momentum quickly.

He started in the side for the 1-0 win away at Sporting Lisbon but simply doesn’t look like his normal self at the moment.

That could be due to any number of things with one of the most obvious reasons the idea that teams are finding ways to keep him quiet and out of the game in big matches across all competitions.

Jose Mourinho has consistently maintained his belief that Hazard is a world class player, capable of producing magic moments at key times in big games.

However, frustration will grow the longer the Belgian goes without a defining performance in a big game this season.

The international break comes after Chelsea host Arsenal this weekend and it could do Hazard some good to spend some time away from club football with the Belgian national side.

The break could allow him to get a little bit of confidence back as he looks to put goals and assists next to the hard work, effort and enthusiasm he always shows when he puts on a Chelsea shirt.

He’s a popular player because he tries hard whenever he plays, but Chelsea need him to start adding an end product on the end of his amazing dribbles if they’re going to win silverware on multiple fronts by the end of the season.

Here’s what Chelsea fans made of his performance against Sporting last night via Twitter with plenty of mixed views on the vital game.
