Yorkshire latest: Adryan's agent Tweets on clearance issues, Blades target new signing

We bring you the latest news from Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Huddersfield Town.

No work-permit concerns for Adryan

Adryan's agent, Pitta, has revealed that there are no international clearance complications stopping his client from playing for Leeds United.

Reports surfaced that bureaucratic issues had stopped Adryan from playing for the Whites since joining in the summer, but his agent has confirmed these to be false.

Wednesday man wants place back

Sheffield Wednesday's Lewis Buxton has issued a warning to Liam Palmer that he wants his spot in the first team line-up.

Buxton has had to watch from the sidelines as Palmer has claimed the right-back berth in the team, but the 30-year-old is determined to force his way back into Stuart Gray's starting line-up now he is fit again.

“I want to play," he insisted to the Sheffield Star. "I want us to win even when I don’t play. Liam came in when I was injured and has been brilliant."

“Liam is a good player. He could probably play anywhere and do well. I want to get back in the right-back spot and I would rather he played somewhere else!"

Lynch on Holt

Huddersfield Town defender Joel Lynch says that he is delighted the club have been able to sign Grant Holt.

Holt signed on loan from Wigan Athletic last week and made his Terriers debut at the weekend against Millwall, where he impressed, and Lynch feels he can offer the side a new option.

“Holty did a great job on Saturday, and you can tell what he’s all about,” he said to the Examiner.

“We’ve been struggling to keep the ball up top, especially late on, in previous matches pretty much all this season."

Blades want new defender

Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough says that the club are hoping to sign a new defender before they take on Chesterfield on Saturday.

Clough has been on the hunt for new recruits for some time now, but it appears he could be edging closer to getting a deal concluded.

“We’ll keep trying, and hopefully get something done before Saturday," he said to the Star.

“We were pretty close last week but we’ll try again."
