Manchester United youngster Tom Thorpe has had a whirlwind week.
After being called up to first-team training on Friday last week, he came off the bench to make his debut for the first-team at the weekend against West Ham United in the Red Devils 2-1 win.
As if that wasn't enough, he then went on to score a 92nd minute winner for the U21 side in a dramatic encounter with Tottenham Hotspur last night.
Thorpe, a centre-back a trade, popped up in the last minute to head home and grab a victory for United's development side.
In the match, the first goal did not come until the 86th minute when Adnan Januzaj curled in a stunning free-kick.
That looked to have provided the Red Devils with a win, but Spurs equalised almost immediately from the kick-off to level the scores.
Most would have expected the match to end of a draw after that, but Thorpe showed the spirit which has seen him force his way into the first-team at Old Trafford by notching the winner.
It was a goal which rounded off a sensational few days in the burgeoning career of Thrope and he will be hoping to have many more weeks like this in the future after finally making his bow for the senior squad.
