A round up of news stories about Tottenham Hotspur this morning.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has denied having a problem with Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen.

Vertonghen has been using sparingly under Pochettino at the club but the boss has said he doesn’t have an issue with the player.

“Maybe because I pick players in different games but any problem with Jan, this is wrong,” said the boss.

Pochettino has also described Wojciech Szczesny in the same bracket as Manuel Neuer and Hugo Lloris.

The Spurs boss suggests that the Arsenal player is among the best goalkeepers in world football at the moment.

“I think he [Lloris] is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, not just the Premier League. Neuer, Szczesny...I think there's a lot of good keepers. But Lloris is one of them,” said Pochettino.

Tottenham Hotspur’s under-21 side lost 2-1 to Manchester United last night.

Goals from Tom Thorpe and Adnan Januzaj were enough to see United over the line.

Nathan Oduwa grabbed Spurs’ equaliser after Januzaj had opened the scoring.
