Nani speaks out on Manchester United future

Nani is asked if he will return to Manchester United when his loan spell at Sporting Lisbon ends next summer.

Nani has admitted that he does not know if his future lies at Manchester United.

The 27-year-old joined his former club Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window.

The Portugal international signed a new five-year contract with United in September 2013 when David Moyes was in charge of the Red Devils.

Despite that deal to run until June 2018, there are reports that Nani will be sold by United next summer.

Nani, though, is not concerned what happens in the future and is fully focused on doing his best for Sporting this season.

‘I don’t know’, he told Sky Sports when asked if he will return to United next summer. 'At the moment, I just want to enjoy football. I want to play. I want to be at my best and then let’s see what happens in the future’.

Nani was speaking following Sporting’s narrow 1-0 home defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League Group G on Tuesday.

Nemanja Matic’s first-half header proved to be enough for the Blues to get the better of their hosts at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon.
