Bennett sees Villa future
Joe Bennett says that he sees his long term future at Aston Villa.
The full-back has gone out on loan to Championship side Brighton this season, but he does not view the move as a way out.
"I think my long-term future is definitely with Villa," he said to the Argus. "You never know what could happen. Brighton could get promoted and things could change."
“I could have a good season here, go back to Villa and then play next season."
Hughes: only a matter of time
Mark Hughes says that Stoke City's first win at the Britannia was only a matter of time, after they beat Newcastle United 1-0 last night.
The Potters had struggled over their first two home fixtures this season, but Hughes says that they were never concerned.
"There has been a little bit of negativity around our home form, but we were always quite comfortable in that we felt it was only a matter of time before our home form turned around," he is quoted as saying by Clubcall.
Dawson a top player, says Lescott
Joleon Lescott believes that West Bromwich Albion centre-back Craig Dawson can become a top player.
The pair partnered each-other at the heart of the Baggies' defence when they beat Burnley 4-0 at the weekend, and Lescott has heaped praise on the youngster.
“I know he is only 24 but he plays with a lot of experience and he is a top professional," Lescott said to the Birmingham Mail. "If I can help him in any way I will.”
Jackett: Doherty can emulate Coleman
Kenny Jackett believes that Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Matt Doherty can emulate Everton's Seamus Coleman.
Doherty has been one of Wolves best performers over the opening of the Championship season and Jackett thinks he can go right to the top.
"Seamus Coleman is very good at Everton and I’m sure is somebody Matt looks at as one of the best right-backs in the league," Jackett said to the Birmingham Mail. "Matt’s aim has to be to get into the full Irish squad and represent his country.”
