Monolith and Warner Bros. latest adventure in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings universe is now available in the US.

The library of next gen, and soon last gen, games is further bolstered today with the release of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor on PC. It's also available on PS4 and Xbox One in the US today.

In the new launch trailer below we're given a further glimpse at the game's story, seeing the moment where Talion, the game's protagonist, and his family are slaughtered. Talion is then resurrected by an Elven Wraith, and they work as one to avenge Talion's family and bring down Sauron's army of orcs.

Shadow of Mordor's Nemesis system is one of it's most attractive parts, it procedurally-generates all the enemies in the world, giving them their own mix of skills and traits meaning no two play-throughs are the same. Talion can also manipulate the orc army and it's commanders using his wraith abilities to encourage mutiny in the ranks.

We'll be bringing you our review of the game in the coming weeks, but for now take a look at the launch trailer below.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor is coming to PS4 and Xbox One on 3rd October in Europe. It also arrives on PS3 and Xbox 360 on 18th November in the US, and 21st November in Europe.
