Here is the Chelsea team to play Sporting Lisbon this evening.
Chelsea: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Filipe Luis, Matic, Fabregas, Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard, Diego Costa
Subs: Cech, Zouma, Azpilicueta, Mikel, Salah, Willian, Remy
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will not be pleased with the way his side played in their first Champions League game against Schalke.
The Blues were the heavy favourites for that game but could only manage a 1-1 draw against the experienced Germans, which has placed them under extra pressure ahead of this game.
Mourinho has been handed a dilemma with an injury to Didier Drogba, which means Diego Costa’s hamstring will be tested to the limit.
Mourinho has previously admitted that the Chelsea forward is only fit enough not play once per week due to a tight muscle and fatigue and having played against Aston Villa last weekend, it’s been his dilemma for most of the week.
However, Costa’s form this season has been superb and he’ll use the confidence he’s created for himself to try and keep the momentum going over the rest of the season.
