Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck has been reflecting on his performance in his first North London derby.
The England international played the entire 90 minutes against Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday, with the encounter ending in a 1-1 draw.
‘In the first half I was more of a threat, in the second I didn’t really feel like I did as much as I should have’, Welbeck told Arsenal’s official website.
Welbeck did have a disappointing game overall. The 23-year-old had four shots, but only one of them were on target.
Despite giving one key pass in the match against Tottenham, the former Manchester United star had only 75% passing accuracy rate.
So how is Welbeck going to rectify what he did wrong against Tottenham?
‘I am a bit disappointed with that and I will work on the training pitch with the rest of the players and hopefully be involved much more throughout our games’, said the Englishman.
Welbeck will hope that his hard work in training pays off on Wednesday when Arsenal host Galatasaray in the Champions League Group D at the Emirates.
