Westlake Securities appoints new VPs

Jon D'andrea and Josh Cobb will oversee Westlake's Austin Investment Banking Group.

Westlake Securities has announced the promotion of Jon D’Andrea and Josh Cobb to Vice President at the firm’s Austin Investment Banking Group.

'The promotion of these two seasoned bankers reflects their growing contribution to the success of the firm and their increasing involvement in business development activities,' said Westlake Securities Partner and Managing Director Randy Finch. 'We are very fortunate to have such high-caliber individuals as Josh and Jon at Westlake and we are pleased to see them moving into leadership roles.

Since joining Westlake in 2008, D’Andrea has worked on numerous sell-side, buy-side and capital placement engagements for corporate clients and financial sponsors. At Westlake, D’Andrea has gained specific industry experience from successful projects in the energy, engineering, manufacturing, chemical and business service sectors. He most recently helped execute the sale of Ritter Construction, a midstream infrastructure construction services provider, to US Shale Solutions. D’Andrea graduated with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and minor in Accounting.

Cobb also joined Westlake in 2008, and his experience has included M&A advisory and debt and equity capital raising assignments for both privately-held and publicly-traded companies. While he has worked with clients operating in a broad range of industries, Cobb has recently been focused on the energy sector including liquefied and compressed natural gas (LNG/CNG) fueling applications and projects connected to the growth in unconventional oil production. Cobb received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.
