Manchester City morning news: Hart expected to return, Kompany defends £32m man

A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester City.

Joe Hart is expected to return to the Manchester City side for the game against Roma.

Hart has been replaced by Willy Caballero for the club’s last two matches but should come back in against the Serie A giants.

“Yes, yes. He is in a very good moment also. It's a crucial game because Roma won their first match and we lost,” said Pellegrini.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has defended his centre-back partner Eliaquim Mangala.

Mangala had a difficult game against Hull scoring an own goal and conceding a penalty.

“As defenders, we have to deal with this, it's part of the job. But I always look at the reaction and we saw it from him in the second half,” said the Belgian.

Manchester City midfielder David Silva says there is more to come from the first team.

City secured a solid 4-2 win away at Hull City in the Premier League and now face Roma in Europe.

“There is still more to come from us, I think. We are not quite at the level we reached last year, when we were better, but with every game that goes we are getting better,” said Silva.
