Following their defeat to Bayern Munich last time out, the City boss said they would approaching this match the same way as ever.

“We were unfortunate not to take a point in Munich,” Pellegrini said, “but even if we had, there would have been no difference going into the Roma clash.”

And finally, Samir Nasri has been photographed in a hospital bed following his groin surgery.

The Independent has published the picture of the Frenchman looking cheery following his operation, but he will be out of action for up to a month as he recovers.
