The Owls lost 2-1 in Wales on Saturday - and supporters weren't happy with their defence.
It's been a week to forget for Wednesday fans.
First, Stuart Gray's side lost 7-0 at Manchester City in the Capital One Cup. Then, their defending was only slightly improved as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Cardiff on Saturday.
The Bluebirds, who are without a permanent manager since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left the club, secured three priceless points as Sean Morrison and Anthony Pilkington scored either side of an own goal from none other than goalscorer Morrison himself.
But they were helped in no small part by poor defending from the visitors, as Sheffield Wednesday boss Gray later admitted:
"I thought if we had got our noses in front we would have won here as they would have been a bit nervous at home," he told reporters after the game.
"I thought once we went to 1-1 there was only one team that was going to win it but it shows that if you do not defend your 18-yard box properly you are going to concede. We have tended to do things right in both boxes and we did not do much right in either."
And it seems Wednesday supporters agreed, with their side's defending labelled as 'shocking,' 'woeful' and much, much more. Here are the best supporter reactions on Twitter...
Very poor defending for both goals yesterday, especially the second - far too much time given in the box #swfc— Adam Holland (@adamholland25) September 28, 2014
Frustrating defeat today, poor defending for their goals let us down. Good atmosphere though and a good day out! #swfc— Jack Hulley (@Swfc_Jack) September 27, 2014
Seen the 2 goals today both were horrible defending. Tom Lees was a big miss. Roll on Tuesday #swfc— James Turner (@J4ME591) September 27, 2014
