Nottingham Forest boss Pearce jokes: 'I should apologise'

Nottingham Forest boss Stuart Pearce has joked he should apologise for his team's lack of goals.

Nottingham Forest extended their unbeaten Championship run at the weekend, but were unable to find the net.

A second successive 0-0 draw in the division, this time at the City Ground against Brighton, had manager Stuart Pearce joking he should apologise to fans.

He is quote by The Sun: "It wasn't a very good game was it? Not much of a spectacle.

"I suppose I should say sorry, and offer an apology. I guess Brighton will be more pleased with this result than we are."

Forest fans were spoiled in their last home match, hammering Fulham 5-3 with a Britt Assombalonga hat-trick.

So should supporters be worried about the lack of goals on Saturday, and in the previous match against Millwall?

Not necessarily, for Forest are still creating the chances, it's just the finishing which let them down against Brighton.

They actually registered the same number of shots on goal as in the Fulham match, the difference was simply their finishing. In that game they were lethal, netting with every shot on target, while against Brighton they only tested the goalkeeper on one occasion.
