Willian says that the bullish Spaniard is something of a joker off the pitch.
Chelsea have now dropped just two points in the season as they look to wrestle the title from the grasp of Manchester City.
And the goals had a fairly Brazilian feel about them yesterday. Selecao internationals Oscar and Willian both found the scoresheet, sandwiching a goal from Brazilian born Spanish international Diego Costa.
Costa again has hit the back of the net, improving his early season record with Chelsea to an impressive eight goals in seven games and his bullish attitude has certainly caught the imagination of Chelsea fans.
He is well known for his spiky attitude and in-your-face approach to striking but it turns out that Costa is not quite the hard-nosed player that he seems to be off of the pitch.
Earlier this week a video emerged of Costa taking the medic-kart for a jovial spin around the club's Cobham training base and now Willian has been speaking about the beast's more relaxed side.
Speaking after his man-of-the-match performance against Villa Willian told Chelsea TV:
"He is happy to be here, he is a good player and he is funny, he is joking all the time and I am happy to play with him at Chelsea."
But he is of course not about fun and games once he gets out on the pitch, as he continues to prove week in and week out.
