Chelsea fans react on Twitter to Willian performance v Villa - 'Never under estimate him'

Chelsea fans were left pleased by the performance of Willian against Aston Villa yesterday.

Chelsea remain at the top of the Premier League after an easy victory against Aston Villa yesterday. The Blues romped to a 3-0 victory thanks to goals from Oscar, Diego Costa and Willian.

For the latter his goal was just reward for what was an exceptional performance from the Brazilian. Since his £30 million arrival from Anzhi Makhachkala the winger has split opinion with his performances at Stamford Bridge.

Willian is what you would call a Mourinho player. Unlike his Brazilian stereotype might suggest Willian is in fact a tireless worker on the field of play, restless for 90 minutes, tracking back and never neglectful of his defensive duties.

In the past Eden Hazard and Andre Schurrle have been criticised for this aspect of their game by Mourinho and Juan Mata's inability to become more of a functional player saw him become dispensable - Willian gives Mourinho everything he asks for.

But too often Chelsea fans have been left frustrated with how this aspect of Willian's game distracts him from his other duties going forward.

There was certainly no hint of that at the Bridge yesterday.

Along with his goal, which admittedly was a tap-in, he also found an assist and was involved in the second goal as well.

Chelsea often rely on Eden Hazard for such performances, but on a day when he was off the boil Willian really stepped up to the plate - pleasing Chelsea fans in his wake.

Here is some of the reaction from Twitter to Willian's performance against Aston Villa...
