An injury-hit Burnley side succumbed to a 4-0 defeat at West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon, with the match seeing Chelsea loanee Nathaniel Chalobah make his first appearance for the club since arriving at the transfer deadline.
Earning his top-flight debut as a half-time substitute with the Clarets 2-0 down, the midfielder could do little to influence the result, as a Saido Berahino brace, sandwiched between goals from Craig Dawson and Graham Dorrans, respectively, leaves Sean Dyche’s side rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

Chalobah, 19, has still to make his first-team debut for Chelsea since coming up through the ranks, spending the 2012-13 campaign on loan at Watford, before splitting last season between spells at Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough.
The centre-back-cum-defensive midfielder has impressed enough in that time to establish himself as a regular in the England under-21 side, but Blues’ star-studded squad leaves him with few opportunities to excite in North London.
Considered one of the country’s brightest prospects, Burnley fans, however, gave the promising teenager’s weekend outing mixed reviews.
Worst performance I've seen from b town during the dyche era. Chalobah a minor positive. Onwards and upwards. SU x— Ben Short (@benshort5) September 28, 2014
Gave ball away far too much and a lack of quality all over though Chalobah looked good. Can only get better!— Dazed (@happyndazed) September 28, 2014
Chalobah showed a few good signs. Absolutely key to get Jones&Marney back ASAP though, or at least one #twitterclarets— Ryan Bury (@ClaretRaz) September 28, 2014
Nathaniel Chalobah is a classic case of the modern day English footballer! £35k p/w and he's nowhere near PL quality. Shocking. Like #BFC— Kieran Bullworthy (@kieran11788) September 28, 2014
Positives: Chalobah looks like he can play. Negatives: can't do in 140 characters. #twitterclarets— LuddyBove (@LuddyBove) September 28, 2014
I'm not really liking this Chalobah— Amie Jade Saunders (@amieJsaunders98) September 28, 2014
Will Chalobah fit into our high tempo style? Looks a bit too laconic for me, despite talent. Need Jones / Marney. #twitterclarets— Steve Kelly (@CrosspoolClaret) September 28, 2014
Hope Chalobah heads south back to Chelsea after the match. Looks another great example of an overpaid overrated English youngster— Exiled Yorkie (@sjr555) September 28, 2014
@claretmaduk wasn't impressed with Chalobah at all!!— claretnbooze (@claretnbooze) September 28, 2014
