Gunners supporters were confused on Twitter after their 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
Is a draw ever a point gained or lost?
And Spurs even took the lead, as Nacer Chadli put the visitors 1-0 up in the second half. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain equalised but only after the introduction of Alexis Sanchez, whose entrance, in no uncertain terms, changed the game.
That impact left a lot of Arsenal supporters questioning why boss Arsene Wenger had refused to start him, keeping him on the bench and playing £42.4 million man Mesut Ozil down the left-hand side.
Wenger's post-match comments didn't shed any light on the matter, either...
Boss on Alexis: "There was no medical reason to leave him on the bench. It was just a team selection" #AFCvTHFC— Arsenal FC (@Arsenal) September 27, 2014
So, why didn't the Frenchman start his £35m summer signing?
Answers on a postcard, please. What is certain, however, is that Gunners fans were both puzzled and displeased by the decision. Even Wenger supporters simply admitted he got his starting line-up wrong.
After six Premier League games, Arsenal have now only won twice. But the north London side are still unbeaten, having drawn four of their six - and are still, crucially, in fourth place in the table.
That is higher the likes of Manchester United, Spurs, Liverpool and Everton and provides a silver lining that all supporters can appreciate. Back to the Sanchez decision, though, here are some of the best fan reactions on social media...
The arsenal Spurs draw at the Emirates still hurts me when I remember cazorla and Sanchez were on the bench for 45mins and ozil at the wings— dNA (@1dNAGh) September 27, 2014
Wenger at fault. Didn't buy cesc a DM. a CB. Did not play Sanchez from start. Still we got a point against a poor team. Goalie poor again— Richard (@robinhoodbaas) September 27, 2014
You have to question why Arsene Wenger doesn't play £35m Alexis Sanchez in one of their biggest games of the season....— Arsenal News (@_arsenal__news) September 27, 2014

Hahaha, Dropping Sanchez & Playing Özil at LM. Not suprised that we lost 2 points. Stubborn Wenger.— AG (@AddictedGooner) September 27, 2014
Took too long to put in Sanchez. Wenger must be crazy! My question is why didn't he start Sanchez?— Ali I. (@ibthegr8) September 27, 2014
