The Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield on Saturday will end in a draw.
That’s the opinion of Liverpool legend Michael Owen, who believes that there will be goals in the Premier League fixture.
‘Both sides have flattered to deceive this season and have well-documented defensive deficiencies’, the former England international striker wrote on Betvictor.com.
‘Daniel Sturridge is likely to return to the Liverpool team which will be a huge plus for Brendan Rodgers but there are goals in this Everton side, despite the fact that they have scored only five in their last 12 visits to Anfield, and I think the game will end in an entertaining draw’.
Saturday’s game in Liverpool does indeed promise to be very exciting and entertaining, with both sides expected to play attacking and fluid football.
Neither Liverpool nor Everton have made great starts to the 2014-15 Premier League season, and both will be determined to win.
Given that the game is at Anfield, Liverpool will be favourites to win, but it would be unwise to write off Everton’s chances just yet.
