CONFIRMED: Real Madrid line-up v Villarreal – Javier Hernandez still on bench!

Close for Javier Hernandez for Mexico

Here is how Real Madrid will line up against Villarreal in La Liga, featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, while Manchester United-owned striker Javier Hernandez remains on the substitutes’ bench.

Real Madrid will be looking to maintain their winning run this afternoon when they take on Villarreal away from home in La Liga.

Los Blancos are in a great run of form at the moment, having won three successive games in all competitions and scoring a total of 18 goals.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are currently sixth in the league table with nine points from five matches, four points off the pace.

Madrid will be expected to win at Villarreal today, having all of their star players in top form. Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema have all been among the goals in recent matches.

Javier Hernandez – who joined the Spanish giants on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United in the summer transfer window – has found the target twice.

Villarreal, though, will not be easy pushovers as they are just a place and point behind Madrid and will be confident of pulling off an upset against the 10-time European champions at home.

Madrid will still be heavy favourites to win today, and here is how they will line up:
