Chelsea "owe" Aston Villa one, according to Andre Schurrle, who implies that the Blues are preparing for revenge after the Villains defeated the West Londoners in a 1-0 score earlier this year in March, when Willian and Ramires were both sent off and Fabian Delph netted the winning goal.
“It was a battle," Schurrle said, as per The Mirror. "We had two players sent off and didn’t get the little bit of luck you need to win these matches.
“There were a lot of fouls," the German noted. "The crowd was very intense and, at the end, we lost it. But we could have won it as well.
“After the match, everyone was down, no one spoke. It was a hard defeat as we were going for the title and then we had this bad match.”
Chelsea have an exemplary modern record against Villa, having scored 27 goals from their past seven matches in the division.
Schurrle is banking on Chelsea continuing that good form tomorrow as "we owe them one."
He concluded: "We want to win and to put on a great performance in front of our fans.”
