Manchester City morning news: Lampard stay doubtful as NYC coach speaks out

A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester City.

Frank Lampard is reportedly open to extending his loan contract at Manchester City.

The Chelsea legend recently joined the Premier League champions on a short term deal.

He scored in the game against the Blues last weekend, bagging the equaliser in a 1-1 draw.

However, New York City claim Lampard won’t be extending his deal and will return to the MLS when it expires.

The club’s head coach Jason Kreis dismissed the speculation with the MLS season starting in March.

“There is no truth in the rumour at all,” he said in a conference call according to ESPN.

Jose Pozo has reflected on making his senior debut for Manchester City earlier this week.

The teenager came off the bench to score the sixth goal in City’s 7-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday.

“It is a dream to make my debut and also score. I am very happy. Last year was very difficult because I played only five or six games before my injury,” he told SSN.
