Chelsea morning news: Ex-star worth £70m? Blues eye teen from Foxes

A round up of news stories this morning about Chelsea.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce says Frank Lampard would be a £70 million player in modern terms.

Bruce suggests that the Blues legend would be an extremely valuable commodity if he was still playing at his peak.

“How much would Frank Lampard be worth now if he was in his pomp? A 20 goals a year man for the last 15 years? He'd be worth £60 or £70million,” said Bruce.

Chelsea are thought to be chasing Leicester City youngster Hamza Choudhury.

The Blues, along with Manchester United and Barcelona are thought to be tracking the progress of the young star.

The box-to-box midfielder has shown enough talent to force his way onto the standby list for the England under-18 team.

Chelsea continue to be linked with a move for teenage Anderlecht goalkeeper Mile Svilar.

The Anderlecht shot stopper has been described as the ‘next Thibaut Courtois’ in various parts of the media.

Jose Mourinho has made a very recent habit of investing in younger players.
