Southampton owned striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo netted a stunning goal for Inter and could relaunch his career with the Serie A side.

Italian international Pablo Daniel Osvaldo seems to be making the most of his Inter lifeline after scoring a superb goal against Atalanta.

The Nerazzurri won 2-0 with Brazilian midfielder Hernanes adding a spectacular free-kick late on but they have had a mixed start to the season after hammering Sassuolo 7-0 but drawing 0-0 with Torino and 1-1 with Palermo.

Osvaldo became an exile at Southampton after head-butting teammate Jose Fonte during training and he spent the second half of last season on loan to Juventus.

Juventus chose not to buy Osvaldo outright, but Inter were willing to take a gamble and the unpredictable marksman has already found the net three times.

Osvaldo's latest effort was a masterpiece and showed the kind of talent that persuaded Southampton to pay Roma £12.8 million plus bonuses in August 2013.
