West Bromwich Albion came from behind to beat Hull City 3-2 in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday evening.
Alan Irvine’s side were fresh off the back of their first league win of the season, and they followed that up with an impressive showing to net twice in the last four minutes to set up a fourth round tie away to Bournemouth.
Summer signing Brown Ideye opened the scoring for West Brom in the 15th minute, but goals from Tom Ince and Robbie Brady either side of half-time put Hull in control.
That was how the score-line remained until the 87th minute, when Gareth McAuley equalised before substitute Saido Berahino netted the winner just a minute later.
The Baggies are now putting a run of form together that they will hope continues in the weeks ahead. Next up for Irvine’s side is a home match against Burnley before the tricky task of a visit to Anfield.
