Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to beat Championship leaders Nottingham Forest 3-1 at White Hart Lane.
Stuart Pearce’s side were unlucky not to take the lead in the first half when they struck the bar, but Jorge Grant did put them ahead shortly after the hour mark latching onto a cross from Lars Veldwijk.
However, Tottenham were not about to be on the wrong end of a shock, and substitute Ryan Mason equalised 11 minutes later.
Roberto Soldado scored a much needed goal of his own to put Spurs ahead with seven minutes remaining, before Harry Kane put the match to bed in injury-time.
The result means Tottenham will go on to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the fourth round, while Forest will have to focus on their attempts to get back into the top flight; but Pearce can be very proud of his side’s efforts.
