Liverpool have made a stuttering start to the 2014-15 season, but one player who has shone is Raheem Sterling.
The England international winger has not been at his best, but he has still been better than his teammates and have looked the most dangerous threat for the Reds.
Last month Sterling scored twice in Liverpool’s opening three Premier League matches and has now been adjudged as their Player of the Month (for August).
The 19-year-old is understandably happy and posted the following photo on Instagram along with the message: ‘Happy to be named Lfc standard chartered player of the month...’

Sterling also told Liverpool’s official website: ‘I'm really pleased to have got the award. It's been a tough start, but hopefully we can get some wins under our belt and continue going forward like we did at the end of last season’.
The teenager is a genuinely brilliant footballer and one of the brightest prospects for the future. Gifted with pace, skills and talent, Sterling truly looks like a player who can go a long way in the future.
Of course, Sterling has a lot to learn and develop his game, but given that he is only 19, there is no reason to believe that he will not do so.
