Nicolas Anelka, Dennis Bergkamp, Robbie Fowler, Thierry Henry and Gianfranco Zola are among the forwards who inspired Daniel Sturridge.
Daniel Sturridge has been given the unenviable task of picking up the burden of Luis Suarez since the Uruguayan striker departed for Barcelona this summer. The England international has been tremendous ever since joining Liverpool, scoring an impressive 36 goals in 52 games since joining the club in January 2013 from Chelsea.
The 26-year-old striker is currently out injured with a thigh injury picked up on international duty and it is clear to see that his absence is sorely missed at Liverpool, who have lost their last two Premier League games and struggled to overcome Middlesbrough and Ludogorets in their respective cup matches.
Sturridge is also clearly bored waiting around to get back into action. He spent most of his day today posting pictures on Instagram of his favourite sporting heroes.
He posted two separate posts with Tweets to match highlighting his love for the likes of Gianfranco Zola, Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Nicolas Anelka. He also showed some love for ex-Liverpool forward Robbie Fowler...
