Liverpool have revealed that Raheem Sterling is their Player of the Month for August.
The England international was pictured with his trophy this week after pipping Jordan Henderson, Joe Allen and Simon Mignolet to the award.
Sterling scored one of the goals in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, while he scored one and set up the other in the 2-1 win over Southampton.
The 19-year-old’s early season form has suggested he will be the creative catalyst for Brendan Rodgers’ side following the departure of Luis Suarez, and when you consider he is still only a teenager, Sterling’s evolution is both remarkable and hugely exciting for Reds fans.
Sterling also found the net this month against West Ham United, and he will no doubt be hoping to keep his fine form going in the weeks ahead, inspiring Liverpool to the victories they need to turn their recent disappointing form around as quickly as possible.
