Alan Hutton says that Grealish has a similar personality to Gareth Bale, which will help him become 'world-class'.
This season has seen a couple of new faces in the Paul Lambert Aston Villa fold, faces young and old.
Alan Hutton has worked his way back into the Villa first-team this campaign, becoming the starting right-back as Lambert leads Villa to a promising early season start.
But while fans are pleased to see him doing well they are far more excited by the prospect that is Jack Grealish. The talented winger spent last season on loan at Notts County and ha simpressed when called into action for Villa's seniors this season.
At just 19-years-old the local lad is already being targeted by Chelsea and is the subject of an international tug-of-war between the Republic of Ireland and England.
And Hutton understands why, as he gushed about Grealish to the Irish Examiner this week:
“Jack has everything to progress into a world-class player. For someone of his young age, he’s got unbelievable talent and has been well able for the Premier League. He’s got a different style to Gareth (Bale) but is similar in how down to earth he is. If he keeps going as he’s done lately, Jack has a big future in the game.
“It’s not like Jack has come in out of nowhere, he’s done it the right way by going out on loan to develop. He doesn’t need protecting from us older players because he’s very able to cope.”
Aston Villa fans are also excited about his talent, which is also a worry for them. Grealish's current deal expires at the end of the season and Chelsea and co are lurking with intent. Grealish insists he wants to stay at Villa but until he is tied down to a long-term deal at Villa Park, angst over his future will remain.
