On loan Chelsea forward Fernando Torres grabbed his first goal in AC Milan colours last night during the 2-2 draw against Empoli.
The Spanish striker moved to Italy on a two-year loan deal during the summer transfer window and seems to have taken to life in Serie A like a duck to water.
Torres showed off his usual solid work rate and enthusiasm and appeared to be more confident, pulling off some slick skills when under pressure from Empoli defenders.
He’ll be extremely determined to improve upon his goals to games ratio, which took a severe battering during his days at Stamford Bridge and he’s off to a good start; one goal from one start and one appearance off the bench.
Torres has always been a confidence player and he should thrive given more regular opportunities to play consistently up front with Milan.
His chances of being consistent at Chelsea were always going to be affected by the fact he was in and out of the team so frequently.
