Leeds United's Frank Mulhern has scored a brilliantly executed penalty for the under-18s today.
Leeds United youngster Frank Mulhern scored a cheeky penalty for the Whites' under-18s side in their victory against Colchester United today.
Mulhern notched twice in the victory for Leeds' youngsters and it completed a good week, after he also scored the winner against Millwall for the under-21s just two days ago.
This may be the most memorable strike of the three, as he showed his confidence to dink the ball over the helpless Colchester 'keeper.
Mulhern has not yet made his debut for the senior side, but more performances like this should edge him closer to the first-team.
The likes of Alex Mowatt and Lewis Cook have both come up through the club's youth-academy to become first-team players in recent times and Mulhern will be hoping to follow in their footsteps.
If he is to do so he will have to impress the new manager Darko Milanic, as the Yorkshire side embark on a new era.
The Slovenian was appointed as boss yesterday and he will be looking to take Leeds to the top level.
He takes charge of the first-team for the first time on Saturday when they take on Brentford and, although Mulhern is unlikely to be involved in that game, he will be hoping to be included in the squad soon after if he keeps this impressive form up.
