Southampton's manager and players have reacted to their big win over Arsenal.
Southampton recorded their first away win over Arsenal in 27 years last night, knocking them out of the Capital One Cup.
The Saints secured a 2-1 win courtesy of goals from Dusan Tadic and Nathaniel Clyne, after going behind to an Alexis Sanchez free-kick.
Clyne's goal was a long range effort which debutant goalkeeper David Ospina could not keep out.
Manager Ronald Koeman joked after the game: "Maybe he watched some videos of mine from about 30 years ago!
"He has a good shot. He deserved that goal because from the beginning of the season he has played very good."
Koeman also took to Twitter to thank all of the fans, showing his willingness to engage with the support via the social network.
Great 1-2 victory over Arsenal tonight. Fantastic team effort! Thanks to all 5200 #SaintsFC fans present in Emirates Stadium— Ronald Koeman (@RonaldKoeman) September 23, 2014
He was not the only one, for numerous Southampton players sent messages out to the club's fanbase, again thanking those who made the long midweek journey into North London.
