Andros Townsend is seen congratulating goal-scorer Roberto Soldado in the photograph above, after the Spaniard netted Tottenham Hotspur's second in their 3-1 third round League Cup victory over Nottingham Forest at White Hart Lane earlier this evening.
Soldado could have had another night to remember as, just ten minutes before, he missed an open goal… albeit not in open play.
After falling behind to a Jorge Grant goal, Spurs substitute Ryan Mason leveled the scoreline with a terrific strike - and after ricocheting back onto the pitch after kissing the net, Soldado aimed to follow the ball in, but ended up hitting the post (see below)!
Harry Kane completed the triumph as Tottenham Hotspur put their name into the pot for the fourth round of the cup.
Tottenham are next in action on Saturday, September 27 as the Lilywhites take on their bitter local rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
