Darko Milanic has been photographed on the touchline at Leeds United's home ground following his appointment.
New Leeds United head coach Darko Milanic has been photographed on the Elland Road touchline for the first time.
The 46-year-old left his former club Sturm Graz at the weekend, before being officially unveiled as Leeds’ new boss on Wednesday morning.
The Championship club have impressed in recent weeks under the stewardship of caretaker manager Neil Redfearn.
Back-to-back victories against Bournemouth and Huddersfield have seen the Whites climb to 12th in the table, just two points outside the play-off places.
But now it is Milanic’s job to oversee the club, although it has been confirmed that Redfearn will still have a vital role with the senior side and will join the new head coach in the dugout for matches.
Having stepped onto the Elland Road touchline for the first time, Milanic will have no doubts about the task in hand – getting Leeds back into the top flight as soon as possible.
It will not be long until he is back on that grass once more, with his first home game in charge on October 1 against Reading.
