Leeds fans are not very happy at being charged £40 per ticket for a midweek away game.
Leeds United fans have reacted angrily on Twitter to price proposals for the upcoming away game at Norwich City.
Away fans are being charged £40 for tickets to Carrow Road, for when the clubs face off on Tuesday 21 October.
Norwich are already a club for who Leeds supporters have little time for, with the Canaries signing Jonny Howson, Robert Snodgrass and Luciano Becchio from them in recent seasons.
For contrast, the recent away game at Bournemouth in midweek saw fans charged £26 per ticket, while this coming weekend's game away to Brentford is also at £26 per ticket.
Here's a look at what Leeds fans had to say about the £40 pricing:
£40 for Norwich away on a Tuesday night. In touch with the real world I see #lufc— Mark Reid (@witneywhite) September 23, 2014
I know we charge £36 but Norwich charging £40 is absolutely absurd. Wonder if they do that for everyone… #lufc— James (@JamesLUFC) September 23, 2014
40 quid for Norwich away? So now we're funding their purchase of our players? #lufc— Oliver Williamson (@keeperolly) September 23, 2014
Was tempted with a midweek trip to Norwich away. £40 for a second division fixture is a joke though. #lufc— Ollie. (@OllieR26) September 23, 2014
Many Norwich City fans were however quick to defend their club, or take digs at Leeds after seeing the Canaries come in for stick on Twitter:
Dear Leeds fans, if you don't want to spend £40 on a ticket at Carrow Road then dont come. We'll sell the tickets to home fans instead #ncfc— Dave Clarke (@clarkedp) September 23, 2014
Oh boo ho to you Leeds fans complaining about the Norwich tickets next month. Get over it. You're lucky it's not more expensive.— Jack Fisher (@I_Am_A_Winger) September 23, 2014
Leeds fans can't complain about £40 for Norwich tickets when they supposedly charge £32 themselves. At least we were in the Prem recently.— Jake (@junojrs) September 23, 2014
