Steven Jovetic has revealed that he is back practising with a football, as he edges closer to making his return from injury.
Jovetic started the season in fine form, picking up the Citizen's player of the month award for August, but his progress since has been hampered by injury.
The Montenegrin striker picked up a hamstring niggle whilst on international duty at the start of the month and he is still waiting to make his return to action.
The good news is that it appears that his comeback is not too far and that will be a boost for fans of the current Premier League champions.
Jovetic offers the club a different option up-front to what they currently have available and when he does return he will be aiming to pick up from where he left off.
The former Fiorentina man already has grabbed two goals in two appearances this season and he will hope it doesn't take too long for him to find the groove again.
City take on Hull City this weekend in the Premier League and that game may come too soon for Jovetic to be available, but he should be back by the time the club take on Aston Villa on October 4th.
