Hull City take on West Bromwich Albion this evening in the third round of the Capital One Cup.
The Baggies are fresh off the back of their first league win of the season at White Hart Lane, and manager Alan Irvine will no doubt be hoping to keep the momentum going when the Tigers come to town.
In early team news, the BBC reports that Steve Bruce is set to give a number of squad players a chance, and that on loan Hatem Ben Arfa will also feature.
However, Mohamed Diame and Gaston Ramirez are both cup-tied after playing in the competition prior to their summer moves.
“We definitely have a renewed appetite for it,” the right-back said of the cup competition after their FA Cup exploits last season.
“After seeing how much it meant to the city when we made it to a major cup final last season, it gives you that added motivation to go and do it again.
“The manager could make 11 or even 15 changes tonight and still have a side that is more than capable of going to West Brom and getting a result.”
Bruce will be hoping that is the case, and those given the chance will know they have to seize it following a summer of considerable change at the club.
