When Angel di Maria joined Manchester United from Real Madrid last month, he probably did not think that he will be at end of a spectacular collapse.
But that’s exactly what happened at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, when the Red Devils let go of a two-goal advantage against Leicester City and slumped to a 5-3 defeat.
United seemed to be cruising to a 3-1 victory as the Premier League clash headed into the final 30 minutes, but then they capitulated.
Leicester scored no fewer than four goals in a 21-minute spell and United had a man sent off, as the final score ended 5-3 in favour of the hosts.
Di Maria did not play the entire game and watched in disbelief from the bench United’s debacle against Leicester.
The 26-year-old Argentina international winger had scored a wonderful goal and was one of the best players for United, but that did not prevent him from losing an enviable record.

Di Maria has been playing in Europe since 2007 when he joined Benfica from Rosario Central. He moved to Real Madrid in 2010 and was a huge success in the Spanish capital for the next four years.
