As Darko Milanic eyed up his Elland Road office yesterday, Leeds fans were asked to vote in a Twitter poll over who they would rather have in charge of the team; Milanic or academy boss Neil Redfearn.
The answer was quite clear with the majority preferring Redfearn in the top job at Leeds United as opposed to the incoming Milanic, formerly of Sturm Graz.
Redfearn has done a great job in temporary charge of the side, which appears to have created plenty of support for him among Leeds fans, maintaining his popularity with supporters.
The first team went unbeaten while he took control, moving to a league position which has put Leeds within touching distance of the play-off places.
Milanic’s main job is going to be keeping the momentum going while maintaining the slick and impressive brand of football the side has played over the last four games.
The easiest way for him to win over those who said they’d prefer Redfearn in charge is to win games, with home grown Leeds players and do it in an exciting fashion.
At least Redfearn can't now be sacked.
