PICTURE: Southampton manager Ronald Koeman warns Arsenal what to expect tonight in League Cup clash

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is looking forward to taking on Arsenal in the third round of the League Cup at the Emirates Stadium tonight.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has sent a clear and resounding message about the way his players will approach their clash against Arsenal tonight.

The Saints will face the North London outfit in the third round of the League Cup at the Emirates Stadium tonight

Arsenal will head into the contest as the favourites and, on paper, have a better squad with more quality, but Koeman has warned the Gunners that his players will not give up and play with passion.

Just hours before the match in London, the Saints boss took to social networking site Twitter to post the following picture:

Southampton lost a number of key players over the summer, but they have actually made a better start to the 2014-15 season than Arsenal.

After the first five rounds of matches in the Premier League, the Saints are second in the table with 10 points, a point clear of fourth-placed Arsenal.

Koeman’s side will head into tonight’s match on the back of a 1-0 away victory over Swansea City on Saturday, which was their fourth in a row in all competitions.

Arsenal returned to winning ways on Saturday when they eased past Aston Villa 3-0 at Villa Park, but tonight they will find it hard to get the better of Southampton.
