Abou Diaby has been at Arsenal since 2006, but you would be forgiven if you had forgotten that he was even playing professional football.
Rated by many as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League, the 28-year-old has suffered injuries time and time again.
The France international suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury 18 months ago, and there were suggestions at the time that his career could be over.

However, Diaby did not lose hope and is now seemingly fully fit. The former Auxerre star has made just one substitute appearance in the past 18 months, but tonight he is set to start for Arsenal against Southampton in the third round of the League Cup at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal fans and neutral football followers alike will hope that Diaby does not suffer yet another injury tonight. Whether he returns to his best in the coming weeks remains to be seen.
