Milan boss set to call on Chelsea duo for Empoli clash

Both Fernando Torres and Marco van Ginkel could start for AC Milan against Empoli tonight as they look to return to winning ways.

AC Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi is being tipped to choose Fernando Torres and Marco van Ginkel from the off against Empoli.

The Rossoneri are hoping to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Juventus and recapture the form that saw them beat Lazio 3-1 and Parma 5-4.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inzaghi is prepared to shuffle the deck for tonight's away trip to Tuscan minnows Empoli and will start Torres in attack.

Fellow Chelsea owned man van Ginkel may also be handed a chance to impress with Jeremy Menez, who has made an impressive start to the season, on the left and Keisuke Honda on the right.

Newly promoted Empoli don't have a lot to show for their start to the campaign, but they haven't been pushovers by any means.

Roma had to fight hard to squeeze past them 1-0 and they drew 2-2 with fellow new boys Cesena last weekend.

Torres started life with Milan in their defeat against Juventus - a tough start given that the Old Lady are yet to concede this season - and the Spaniard will be determined to open his account against a more forgiving defence.
