Chelsea goalkeeper hails 'unbelievable game' at Anfield

Petr Cech was one person who could not believe the Liverpool penalties victory over Middlesbrough.

Liverpool are through to the next round of the Capital One Cup, just. Brendan Rodgers' side had a very difficult time dispatching of Championship side Middlesbrough.

Goals from Jordan Rossiter and Suso had twice given Liverpool the lead within 120 minutes of football but goals from Adam Reach and Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford ensured the game went on to a unforgettable evening of penalties.

When Albert Adomah missed it left Liverpool as the winners, 14-13 on penalties, with even Simon Mignolet putting the ball in his net.

Of course several big names were enjoying the game, including Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech. Cech was probably enjoying young Chelsea custodian Jamal Blackman in action, who impressed between the sticks for the young Chelsea star.

And he sent this Tweet during the penalty shoot-out, as he struggled to believe what he was seeing at Anfield.

Cech himself will be hoping to get a run out for Chelsea tomorrow as they face Bolton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge in the same competition. He is currently playing second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois between the sticks for The Blues.
