The pacey young right back made his first start for Aresnal in last week's difficult loss away to Borussia Dortmund, but big things are expected of the young Spaniard, who may get the chance for more minutes in the midweek League Cup game with Southampton.
Bellerin is one of several former Barcelona players to have made the switch to North London, with Cesc Fabregas the obvious leader in this department when it comes to making a success in the Premier League after departing the Nou Camp.
Regardless of where he is playing now, Bellerin still clearly keeps an eye on his former side, and seems to be taking great pleasure in his former youth team teammates making an impact in the first team squad under Luis Enrique.
Chico este canario es muy buenoooooooo @sandroramirez9 !!— Hector Bellerin (@HectorBellerin) September 21, 2014
As Barca obliterated Levante,19-year-old forward Sandro Ramirez once again appeared from the bench for the Spanish giants, and got in on the act in a 5-0 win as he scored the game's third goal.
It caused Bellerin to pay homage to Sandro in a Tweet, where he jokingly stated "this guy is a very good canary", in reference to striker's Canary Island origins.
The forward has scored two goals in three La Liga appearances this season, and it looks like he has a big future ahead of him, even if the Arsenal defender does think he is a little yellow-bellied.
