Tottenham Hotspur morning news: Schneiderlin 'happy', Everton target Dembele

White Hart Lane 4

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Morgan Schneiderlin says he’s happy at Southampton after nearly leaving them during the summer.

The Frenchman nearly moved to Spurs during the transfer window, with the Saints rejecting numerous bids.

“I’m happy here, I’m fully focused on Southampton and there is no problem. The group is closer after the summer. A lot of people were saying we would struggle this season because we lost so many players,” he said.

Everton have been linked with a January move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele.

Dembele has been inconsistently used so far this season by Mauricio Pochettino, which could leave Spurs open to a deal if the right offer comes in.

The Mirror claims the Toffees could make a £15 million offer for the player.

Mauricio Pochettino has reacted angrily after Tottenham lost 1-0 at home against West Brom.

Spurs were poor in the game against the Premier League strugglers in their post-Europa League Sunday afternoon kick-off.

“We were wrong, we had a lack of movement. You need to be aggressive. We were wrong in this way. You need to show that you are the best team. The way we played, we brought risk into our game,” said the Argentine.
