Crystal Palace defeated Everton on Sunday, and here is the story of the match in pictures.
Crystal Palace claimed their first win of the season when they overcame Everton 3-2 at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Romelu Lukaku put the Toffees ahead after just nine minutes, but a Mile Jedinak penalty levelled the scores before second-half goals from Fraizer Campbell and Yannick Bolasie put Neil Warnock’s side 3-1 up.
Leighton Baines reduced the arrears with a late penalty of his own, but it was too late to change the result and Palace climbed up to 15th in the table.
As for Everton, Lukaku may have started scoring but they have stopped winning, with Roberto Martinez’s side now without a win in their last four home games.
It is a worrying statistic for the Spaniard, and one he will want to quickly rectify if he has aspirations of replicating his outstanding debut season in charge.
Everton had 76 per cent possession against the Eagles, but they failed to make it count despite having twice as many shots on target as their visitors.
Not that Palace will be complaining. They will be hoping their first victory will kick-start their campaign.
