Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski was in Germany on Sunday to watch his former club Koln take on Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga.
The match at the RheinEnergieStadion ended in a goalless draw, but that did not prevent the 29-year-old forward from enjoying himself.
Podolski was watching the game with Borussia Dortmund defender Kevin Grosskreutz and later had dinner with some of his friends.
It has been an eventful couple of days for Podolski, who seems to have been travelling a lot over the weekend.
The Germany international was involved in Arsenal’s comfortable 3-0 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
On his return to London, Podolski went to watch the boxing match between George Groves and Christopher Rebrasse with teammate Mesut Ozil (click here to read more). Then on Sunday, the 2014 World Cup winner was in Cologne to watch his former team Koln.
However, all this travelling is unlikely to affect the flamboyant Podolski, who will be ready for action if called up by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger against Southampton in the third round of the League Cup at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday.
