Manchester United were 2-0 up against Leicester City after 16 minutes, 2-1 at half time and 3-1 on the hour mark. But still they lost.
Four goals in the space of 21 minutes plus a red card for United saw Leicester City stage a remarkable comeback at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
Leicester have shown this season that at home they are a formidable side, but the way that the Red Devils capitulated was still unprecedented.
Manager Louis van Gaal was understandably shocked to watch his players collapse in the final 30 minutes of the game, as shown by the photo below:
Van Gaal will certainly have a discussion with his team about the performance and will make the necessary changes in the next game.
The big point is United conceding five goals and proving once again that they needed to have signed a genuinely world-class central defender in the summer transfer winow.
